Works of the artist Tang chiew ling from Malaysia is distinguished by sophisticated minimalism and an amazing sense of taste. "Fashion in Leaf" - an original project in which the usual leaves become chic dresses … A little imagination - and an exquisite outfit is born on a sheet of paper, which both professional fashion designers and recognized fashionistas can envy.
The idea of using plants to create outfits is not new: just think of Nicole Dextras's weed clothing. True, Tang Chiew Ling instead of real clothes creates her sketches: luxurious cocktail dresses, bright floral sundresses, playful mini and noble maxi with a long train.
To create this wonderful collection, the artist leafed through a lot of fashion magazines, but the result was worth it. The elegant line of fashionable clothes begs to be on the catwalk. Note that all the materials from which the outfits are made look very organic: whether they are freshly picked green leaves, yellow flowers or fancifully curved dried leaves.
It's nice that such a fragile and short-lived material like leaves inspires many artists to work. In addition to the usual ikebana, masters are looking for new forms of embodiment of their creative ideas. In particular, artist Jenny Lee Fowler creates charming human silhouettes out of them.
