A huge fresco, 13 m wide and 4 m high, was painted on the wall by an American artist Adonna Khareusing only a simple pencil for work. The resulting triptych is called Elephants and amazes not only with its size, but also with stunning detail. The work was performed within the framework of the annual art competition ArtPrize. Adonna Hare teaches art in elementary school, and felt that the ArtPrize competition, in which every adult American can take part, is her chance. Moreover, the total amount of bonuses played out in the framework of the competition is one of the largest in comparison with the prize pools of other competitions, and amounts to 560,000 dollars. So, Adonna began to draw a picture for the competition, taking as a basis a relatively small (2, 5x10 meters) drawing of elephants … But in the course of work, the drawing acquired new details and characters, the plot became less and less similar to the original, and as a result, the world saw a giant triptych under the name Elephants, although it depicts not only elephants, but also other inhabitants of the jungle.

It took the artist more than three weeks to complete this large-scale work. According to her, the newborn daughter inspired and gave strength, and in general the work turned out to be very personal, almost autobiographical, unless its participants were not people, but animals. More than 40 thousand people who visited the exhibition during ArtPrize 2012 took part in the voting. The incredible pencil painting on a white surface earned the largest number of audience sympathies, and they had to choose from 1517 participants from different countries who submitted their works for the competition.
