There, after the appointment of a leader, his policy turned out to be incompatible with the traditional directions of the work team. Five deputy editors-in-chief resigned. Employees did not risk their team for the sake of continuing their careers in the same resource and decided to organize their own source. Alexander Gubsky spoke about the project's plans in an interview with Dozhd's correspondent. His current position is VTimes Editor. When asked by P. Lobkov about which topics will prevail in the new format and what it will be, the journalist said that the publication will receive a more compact form than the resource of the previous place of work. According to the editor, the crisis contributes not only to the destruction of the old, but also to the creation of innovative formats.
The question of the survival of innovators during this period will depend on the level of professionalism of its creators. The presence of creative ideas, conscious desire and money can help the project withstand difficult times. To P. Lobkov's question about the availability of funding, the respondent replied that this problem is in the process of being resolved. The editor named two main sources for the development of the publication. In the fall, the team plans to launch crowdfunding, attracting people who want to participate in the project. The second source will be the advertising business. To ensure the independence of the publication, the creators of the resource decided to do without large investors.
When asked by P. Lobkov, whether the new project will lose those editorial sources of information and information that are used to working with a large and well-known brand, such as Vedomosti, VTimes editor answered negatively, stressing that information owners do not build their relationships with signs and labels, but with specific people and trusted journalists. The new edition will have an electronic version only.
This is due to the orientation towards the younger generation, which today prefers other channels for obtaining information: visual and auditory, in contrast to their parents who read paper sources. As long as the resource does not have a license, and this removes the question of appointing the chief editor, all decisions are of a collegial nature.
