At the Asian Festival of Performances on October 21, a production titled "The Dream of Reason" by Sergei Bezrukov will be shown. At this festival, only performances recorded using 8K technology will be shown. This was reported by Yoichi Ochi, General Director of Botchan Theater in Japan and organizer of the event.

During his speech, Yoichi Ochi noted that this time they decided to hold the Asian Festival of Performances, which are recorded in a unique 8K resolution. This year, the event will show performances that were filmed in Moscow, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Toon and Seoul. There are plans to continue holding such festivals of performances. Next year, 2019, they intend to include performances from America and Europe in the competition list. And a year later, that is, in 2020, hold the World Asian Festival of Performances with 8K resolution.

The performance by Sergei Bezrukov, which was named "The Dream of Reason", was created based on the literary work "Notes of a Madman", which belongs to the pen of the famous classic Nikolai Gogol. This performance was recorded in 8K resolution. For the first time, "A Dream of Reason" was shown in early spring of this year in Tokyo, and he delighted the audience.

This performance was shown as part of a pilot project, where, in addition to Bezrukov's performance, two Japanese performances were shown. It is worth noting that A Dream of Reason was the first drama to be produced outside of Japan using advanced technology.

Despite the fact that this performance was not created in Asia, it was nevertheless decided to include it in the Asian Festival, as it amazes with its highest quality. Yoichi Ochi noted that everyone liked him so much that they decided to show him again to the Japanese audience, as well as introduce this high-quality work to theatrical figures of Taiwan, Korea and other Asian countries.

At the moment, there are still very few performances in 8K resolution, since this technology appeared relatively recently. In the future, with the development and distribution of this technology, the festival organized this year will be able to travel around the world.

The main feature of the new 8K technology is high definition, which is 4 times higher than the current television standard and allows you to shoot, as they say, in one frame, that is, without resorting to editing. As a result, the viewer can immediately see the whole scene and decide what to pay attention to the scenery or the actors.
