When you meet Daria Endresen, a photographer from Oslo, it is difficult to guess that behind such an attractive appearance lurks dark images of her future and current work. People who are more like asexual aliens, sacrificing themselves, suffering from mutilation and being tortured - this is what prevails in Daria's works. However, somehow she manages to get rid of the depressive effect in her works, balancing on the verge of surrealism and gothic.
The silent atmosphere of suffering and self-sacrifice, where the viewer witnesses other people's experiences, which can be discerned not so much in the views, but in some subtle details that create a common image - this is what unites the works Daria Endresen (Daria Endresen) put together.
"I'm like a dead fish in a sea of cyanide," says Daria's website. "I like boys who look like girls and girls who look like aliens." Pain and mystery split her chilling world of asexual beings. Perhaps it is because of this intensity of emotions that Daria's works gained their popularity. Her works are included in a large number of art books, art exhibitions not only in Europe, but also in the USA.
Daria Endresen is not the only one who works with photo manipulation and surrealistic images, other similar works can be seen in our review " Amazing surrealism: 20 unusual photo illustrations".

Gothic surrealism and a box of toys illustrated by Xue Wang
American directors who make horror films love to turn the cutest characters into the main villains from whom no one expects a stab in the back.
