Turkish company Tasarım Takarım specializes in a very interesting idea - they turn children's doodles and naive drawings into gold and silver jewelry. Firstly, this guarantees the complete uniqueness of each pendant, and secondly, it, of course, can become the most dear item for the heart of the child's parents.
Tasarım Takarım it translates roughly as "I wear design," and what can we say - ideas for design just pour in, as if from a cornucopia. This company was born out of a project by two artists, Yasemin Erdin Tavukcu and Ozgur Karavit, who decided to immortalize a child's drawings into something more practical than handprints in clay or storing children's shoes on a glass shelf. Such a little thing can always be with you - in the end, it is not just dumbbells: artists are trying to find a balance between the original drawing and stylish performance. And they do it very well!
Now the Tasarım Takarım company is already two years old, and they make not only pendants, but also bracelets, earrings and other jewelry. "It's like immortalizing someone's childhood," says Yasemin. And the artists take this task very seriously. "Each drawing is unique," says Yasemin. "And therefore, when developing a sketch for a decoration, we also have to approach from a unique perspective each time, find a new solution each time."
The main part of the jewelry is made of silver or gold, sometimes, at the request of the customer, an inscription is also added. Everything is handmade and the process of creating one piece of jewelry can take up to a week, so this, accordingly, is reflected in the price - such pendants cost from 125 to 195 dollars.
Most of the jewelry, of course, is ordered and then worn by the child's parents, but this does not mean that it is valuable only for them. When you see how a child reacts to the fact that his drawing has turned into a beautiful decoration, this cannot but rejoice. “When kids see jewelry created, they become so proud that it was they who designed it, that they just shine with happiness. They feel important. This gives them visual proof that their work, their contribution to art is appreciated, and that other people are important what they create."
It remains only to wish that these jewelry bring their owners exclusively happiness and good luck, since history knows many cases when jewelry brought so much misfortune to the owners that they remained in the memory of people as " damn jewelry".
