While the popular Russian group Spleen sings that "everything in the world is made of plastic and around plastic life", artists in different parts of the world continue to prove that, in addition to this material, there are many other opportunities to transform the world around them. For example, a famous London artist (with Israeli roots) Ben-David Zadok (Zadok Ben David) undertook to "plant" the Singapore botanical gardens trees and flowers from … steel!
We have already written about the work of this talented artist on our website Culturology. RU. Not so long ago, Ben-David Zadok impressed the public with metallic flowers that adorned the sandy field. This time, instead of miniature buttercups, the author decided to create large-scale monumental sculptures that very harmoniously complemented the beautiful natural landscapes.
The Singapore exhibition is timed to coincide with the world-famous Sotheby’s auction, at which 16 works by the master are put up for sale. Each sculpture is made of special, corten steel, and represents a unique combination of plants, butterflies and human bodies - fantasy notes are always inherent in the master. The choice of such an unusual metal is not accidental: under the influence of natural factors, this material rusts, at the same time regenerating the protective coating of the sculptures. The artist is sure that in this way it is possible to draw the attention of viewers to the changing seasons, and therefore to the very course of life.

Flowers of life and other flowers in the paintings of Donald Zolan (Donald Zolan)
American artist Donald Zolan can be called one of the kindest, most positive and sensual contemporary painters. After all, such pictures that come out from under his brush can only be created by a very sensitive person with a large and loving heart. Interestingly, he himself has children?

A few colored flashlights, a partner, or better two, and a camera with high-quality optics - that's all the Welsh artist Michael Bosanko needs for creativity for fun and creativity. It's great when work and hobbies coincide, and even better when it brings joy not only to the person who performs it, but also to everyone who, in one way or another, became a spectator of this performance. Fashion from nature. Clothes made of leaves, flowers and ears
In one of the tales of Gianni Rodari, an unusual world was described where everything around was edible. And not only edible, but also tasty: the watch chain is like raspberry ice cream, confetti is like mint candies, the bicycle seat is like eclairs with cream. Probably, it was from this fairy tale that the artist Ted Sebarese came up with the idea of edible outfits, which we already wrote about on the website Culturology.RF. But what about the fact that art is an eternal value, and food, whatever one may say, quickly ends

Grove Gardens by the Bay in Singapore: Iron Trees and Light Show
The locals call Singapore "the City of the Lion and the Temple" because, according to legend, the first to set foot on this land was the prince from Sumatra, who saw Merlion, a mythical creature with a lion's head and a fish's tail. A temple was erected in honor of this animal. Today, Singapore can be safely called the "City of Unusual Trees", because Gardens by the Bay was recently presented, a high-tech project to create 18 "supertrees" - unique mechanisms powered by solar energy and you
