Artists-storytellers have an amazing ability to transfer their viewer to childhood, and ordinary pencils and brushes serve as a magic wand. A special genre for such a manifestation is the fantasy genre, in which the master can express himself in all angles and show the public the world with his own eyes. And it should be noted that this world is unique and beautiful. Today in our virtual gallery there are works of Ukrainian artist-storyteller Valentina Rekunenko, which make a great impression even on the discerning viewer.
The fantasy genre in art is in great demand at the present time. For where else, no matter how in this genre, an artist can express himself and force the viewer to rethink the whole picture of the world. In modern fantasy, the audience can meet both beautiful works rich in detail, and something in the form of white spots that leaves room for the imagination - a picture incomprehensible at first glance can make no less impression than a detailed written one. After all, you yourself, or rather your imagination, will become an accomplice in the creation of the plot.
However, today you can completely immerse yourself in the magical world created by an artist who is madly in love with fairy tales … And not so much read as tell them through brushes and paints, his incredible artistic imagination.
Looking into the fantastically incredible world of the artist Valentin Rekunenko, the viewer gets a lot of impressions. His fabulous and phantasmagoric paintings are full of funny plots and fantasy, so they are equally interesting for both children and adults. The artist hides his magic in ordinary images, objects and details, giving them semantic and symbolic meaning. After all, real magic requires the most serious, varied and not boring approach.
It is no secret that it is difficult to surprise the modern viewer with anything. But the master wizard succeeds with interest. His canvases are full of funny stories, plots, seasoned with irrepressible imagination, good humor, various phantasmagoric ideas and incredible warmth.
The master attracts the viewer not only with funny stories and rich imagination, but also captivates with the richness of details, the smallest sketches that allow you to enjoy the beauty of the fantastic world he invented. You can look at Rekunenko's pictures for hours, you want to return again to where time has stopped in zero gravity, where there are no laws of physics, where creatures and objects are free in their manifestations.
The artist chose the traditional technique of execution for his works - he writes with oil paints, and gouache, and pastels.
