A Chinese dragon, a Chinese wall, mahjong dice, and even a terracotta army of 500 warriors - everything in this chocolate country is made of sweets.
We recently talked about treating kids to candy soup from chocolate cauldrons during the Escalade in Geneva, Switzerland. But for the love of everything chocolate, the Chinese can plug the Swiss into the belt: the apotheosis of the sweet tooth has become a big exhibition "Chocolate Country", which opened last Friday, December 16, in Shanghai.
At this exhibition, as you might guess, everything is very sweet. It exhibits monumental chocolate and candy sculptures (such as a life-size BMW) and hosts fashion shows in edible outfits. In order to make it more plastic, the designers had to add some additives to ordinary crunchy chocolate. However, from this he did not become harmful or tasteless.
Last year in Beijing, a similar exhibition gathered half a million chocolate hunters. Now chocolate country even more inhabited by tourists. And not without reason: after all, more than 200 chocolate sculptures were built for them, the production of which took 80 tons of sweet material. There is time until February 19 to inspect, smell, and, possibly, taste the masterpieces of confectionery art. Although, rather, everyone will eat much earlier.
