The songs performed by them were known by heart, their concerts were invariably held with a full house, not a single disco could do without romantic compositions of famous Italians. Their style was imitated in their clothes and hairstyles, and the whole family watched the Italian Song Festival in San Remo late into the night. Their fates were followed, empathized and listened to constantly. How did the destinies of the most famous Italian pop stars develop, where are they and what are they doing today?
Ricardo Fogli
For the first time, Soviet viewers saw Ricardo Fogli with the song "Sadness" in the program "Melodies and Rhythms of Foreign Stage", which was very popular. A year later, in 1982, the singer with the song "Storie di tutti i giorni" won the main prize of the festival in San Remo. Since 1985, the performer has repeatedly come on tour to the USSR, invariably collecting full houses. The records with his songs were sold out instantly.
Today Ricardo Fogli continues to tour the country and the world. The performer gives most of the concerts in Russia. The Italian singer does not tolerate the harsh Russian climate very well, especially during tours in the winter, but he is warmed by the applause and recognition of his fans. According to the singer, the book of his memoirs will be published soon.
Ricardo Fogli is married for the third time and at the age of 65 he became the father of little Marie. 24-year-old Alessandro Siegfrido, Fogli's son from his second marriage, unfortunately his father is not interested in music.
Toto Cutugno
The song "L'italiano" became the singer's calling card, but almost all compositions performed by him were incredibly popular. However, the success of the composer came to him much earlier than the glory of the singer. His songs were sung by Joe Dassin, Mireille Mathieu and other French stars.
Over time, Toto Cutugno was recognized in his native Italy, and then fell in love all over the world, including in the Soviet Union. His career did not always go smoothly, but the singer was able to withstand all the blows of fate. He managed to survive the collapse of the group created by him, Vito Pallavicini's refusal to cooperate with him, defeated the oncological disease diagnosed in him in 2007.
Since 1971, his wife Carla has always been with Toto Cutugno. She was able to forgive him for betrayal, as a result of which, in 1989, the son of the singer Niko was born. Today the singer and composer is 75 years old, but he is still cheerful and full of creative plans.

Adriano Celentano
He can rightfully be called one of the most successful performers in the history of the Italian stage. 600 songs, 41 studio albums, more than 40 films with his participation - this is not a complete list of the creative works of Adriano Celentano. There is also music written by him, television programs that the performer conducted on Italian television, social activities. The popularity of Adriano Celentano in the Soviet Union was simply incredible.
Films with his participation were reviewed several times, there were no empty seats at the concerts. However, in his homeland, the singer enjoys great influence. The authorities fear his sharp tongue and urge to fight injustice. At the same time, when the crisis began in Italy, the performer gave a grandiose concert, which was attended by 6,000 people. At the same time, the ticket price was only 1 euro. Celentano explained this with a desire to raise the spirit of Italians in difficult times, he wanted to see whole families in the hall.
In 2019, Adriano Celentano and Claudia Mori will celebrate an emerald wedding. Their marriage was concluded in 1964, they became the parents of three children and stood the test of time and difficulties with honor. Al Bano and Romina Power
The Italian family duo did not conquer the world musical Olympus from the first time. Before gaining popularity, they had to go through the first feelings and confrontation of relatives, who did not consider them a couple to each other. However, in 1982, they confidently entered the top three at the San Remo festival. By this time, the spouses had a daughter and a son growing up, and in 1985 and 1987 two more babies were born.
Al Bano and Romina Power toured successfully, they were loved at home and abroad. However, Al Bano's desire to have more money and spend less led to a rift in their relationship. The disappearance of their eldest daughter in America in 1974 only widened the gap between the two once close people. Their duet also broke up. In 1999, the couple officially announced their separation.
Now each of them lives his own life. Al Bano is already 75, after parting in Romina, he married twice more, in his second marriage with Loredana Lecchiso he had 2 children, but this did not save the family from divorce. Now the performer is married to the Russian woman Maria Osokina. He has his own studio, hotel and wineries, and he still sings. Romina Power lives alone in her own house, paints and writes popular books. In 2015, the former spouses gave a joint concert in Moscow for the first time after a long break.

After the singer's popularity declined, he tried to do business, but failed. Since the early 2000s, he began to broadcast on Italian television and radio, as well as regularly tour.
A real sensation was the news that for 30 years now, Pupo has been living in two families, both of whom know about the existence of each other. He explains this situation with love for both women and the inability to choose one of them.
Ricchi e Poveri
When the group was formed in 1967, it included four members Angela Brambati, Angelo Sotju, Marina Occhiena and Franco Gatti. Rich and Poor worked in a contrast of luxury and modesty, promoting the idea of the spiritual wealth of talented performers.
In 1981 Marina Okkiena left the quartet, and in 2016 ended Franco Gatti's musical career. Duo Ricchi e Poveri continues their concert activity, taking part in retro discos around the world, including in Russia.
