The author of wonderful children's fairy tales, the creator of Cheburashka and the cat Matroskin, Eduard Uspensky, lived a bright life full of events and creative meetings. Cartoons based on his works have been watched with delight by more than one generation of children. He was a maximalist and could go to open conflict, defending his interests. And he constantly tried to find his happiness. Three women left a mark in his soul, one of whom became his wife twice.

The first love

Since childhood, he loved to read, but saw himself as not a creative person at all, but dreamed of entering the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, but his documents were not even accepted because of the fact of being brought to the police in his personal file. The future writer, in fact, did not have time to break anything. Out of curiosity, I climbed onto the top of the old church, in which a warehouse was set up. When he fell down, he was escorted to the police with all the proper "honors". There he was quickly released, but the very fact of the drive was recorded. As a result, Eduard Uspensky became a student at the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1955, after which he worked as an engineer.

However, interest in creativity woke up in him in his student years, when Ouspensky began to write poetry and short funny stories for the wall newspaper. Later he began to write scripts of performances for the student theater of miniatures. And later, Eduard Nikolaevich was invited to write monologues for entertainers and actors.

And in MAI he met his first love, Rimma. Despite fervent feelings, they did not come to marriage immediately. In 1963, Eduard Uspensky brought his beloved to the registry office. However, their family life did not work out. Despite the birth of their daughter Tatyana, the couple broke up after 18 years of marriage.

Later, Eduard Uspensky will tell in one of his interviews that he wrote the image of the old woman Shapoklyak from his first wife. And partly from myself and my mother. When asked why he could not keep his first family, the writer reported: he could not get along with his own heroine.

After marriage, his beloved Rimma was often mischievous and was dissatisfied with almost everything. As a result, the marriage broke up, and 12-year-old daughter Tatiana remained to live with her father.

Eduard Uspensky had already divorced his wife, cartoons based on his works were already in full swing, when he met Elena Borisovna in a buffet at the studio. The girl who interested him had nothing to do with animation or television, she just worked in the building maintenance department. Elena did not even imagine who Eduard Uspensky was, and then he simply gave her his book about Uncle Fyodor. The woman opened it on the way home and was so carried away by reading that she began to laugh out loud, surprising her fellow travelers.

Despite the more than 20-year age difference, Eduard Nikolaevich was able to conquer his new acquaintance with a brilliant sense of humor and incredible erudition. They soon officially registered their relationship. They dreamed of children, but Elena was never able to become a mother. But the couple decided to adopt two wonderful twin girls Irina and Svetlana. The daughter from her first marriage also lived with her spouses.

His third chosen one was Eleanor Filina, with whom they began to conduct the program "Ships entered our harbor." Gradually, mutual interest arose, but both of them were not free. Eleanor was the first to put an end to her family relationship; later, Eduard Uspensky broke up with his wife.

It seems that at first their life together was quite happy and cloudless. The couple moved to a large new house, which Eduard Nikolayevich bought in exchange for selling his Prostokvashino to the now well-known trade mark.

They had lived together for more than 10 years, Eduard Nikolaevich had already suffered from cancer by that time, when the couple announced their divorce. Suddenly it turned out that they were both unhappy in this marriage, for ten years they had accumulated many claims and mutual grievances, which began to result in very ugly proceedings. Accusations, reproaches, evil words addressed to each other were carried from both sides.

It seemed that there was nothing good in their family, since everyone tried to prick the once loved one more painfully. As a result, Eduard Nikolaevich announced that his illness was caused by very bad relations in the family. In response, Eleanor Nikolaevna told in her interviews about his unkind attitude towards her children who lived with them.

It is difficult to figure out now who is right and who is to blame for the fact that this family broke up and that once loving people suddenly became irreconcilable enemies. However, it is not in vain that they say: “There would be no happiness, but misfortune helped.
