The first love

And in MAI he met his first love, Rimma. Despite fervent feelings, they did not come to marriage immediately. In 1963, Eduard Uspensky brought his beloved to the registry office. However, their family life did not work out. Despite the birth of their daughter Tatyana, the couple broke up after 18 years of marriage.

Later, Eduard Uspensky will tell in one of his interviews that he wrote the image of the old woman Shapoklyak from his first wife. And partly from myself and my mother. When asked why he could not keep his first family, the writer reported: he could not get along with his own heroine.

After marriage, his beloved Rimma was often mischievous and was dissatisfied with almost everything. As a result, the marriage broke up, and 12-year-old daughter Tatiana remained to live with her father.

Second family

Eduard Uspensky had already divorced his wife, cartoons based on his works were already in full swing, when he met Elena Borisovna in a buffet at the studio. The girl who interested him had nothing to do with animation or television, she just worked in the building maintenance department. Elena did not even imagine who Eduard Uspensky was, and then he simply gave her his book about Uncle Fyodor. The woman opened it on the way home and was so carried away by reading that she began to laugh out loud, surprising her fellow travelers.

They soon officially registered their relationship. They dreamed of children, but Elena was never able to become a mother. But the couple decided to adopt two wonderful twin girls Irina and Svetlana. The daughter from her first marriage also lived with her spouses.

Happiness seemed unshakable and lasting, but after 23 years of marriage, Eduard Nikolaevich fell in love again.

Love and resentment

His third chosen one was Eleanor Filina, with whom they began to conduct the program "Ships entered our harbor." Gradually, mutual interest arose, but both of them were not free. Eleanor was the first to put an end to her family relationship; later, Eduard Uspensky broke up with his wife.

It seems that at first their life together was quite happy and cloudless. The couple moved to a large new house, which Eduard Nikolayevich bought in exchange for selling his Prostokvashino to the now well-known trade mark.

They had lived together for more than 10 years, Eduard Nikolaevich had already suffered from cancer by that time, when the couple announced their divorce. After the divorce, Eduard Nikolaevich very quickly got married for the fourth time. On his second wife Elena Borisovna. She helped him fight his illness, surrounding the children's writer with her warmth and care.

Elena Borisovna became a kind guardian angel, having managed to forget all insults, forgive his betrayal. She was by his side until the last day of his beloved children's writer. Eduard Uspensky passed away in August 2018. And he left to the descendants his amazing fairy tales, which will give lessons of kindness for many more generations.
