It is unlikely that anyone will like that the road on which you are used to driving is blocked or cluttered with foreign objects, but nevertheless, the reasons for the delay in movement are different. Among the most interesting and unusual is the installation by the Spanish design team Luzinterruptus, which is represented by hundreds of glowing books scattered along the road.
The unusual installation took place last week on Water Street in Brooklyn, New York. To create it, it took 800 books and a lot of LEDs for backlighting. According to the authors, the main purpose of their work was to promote reading. “Literature should fill the streets and public places,” the designers are convinced. They believe that such an installation will make people passing by to slow down, think about the benefits of reading and, perhaps, even pick up one of the books and read a couple of pages from it.
The Luzinterruptus team wants an urban space, traditionally a place of speed, pollution and noise, to become a place of calm, relaxation and coexistence. The soft diffused light in the installation is designed not only to attract the attention of passers-by at night, but also to provide them with a sense of comfort - as opposed to the chaos reigning around.
According to the designers, books should remain on the road until they disappear from there themselves - in theory, everyone who is interested in reading can take their favorite book. Eventually, the road will clear and cars will return to this place - but for many passers-by this place will remain special thanks to the memories. The authors hope that everyone who has seen the installation with their own eyes will certainly tell their relatives and friends about it and, perhaps, they will also have a desire to pick up a book.
Luzinterruptus is a popular Spanish design team renowned for their lighting installations. The team consists of three people, each of whom specializes in one of the areas: art, lighting, photography. Designers prefer to work anonymously, giving viewers the opportunity to admire their installations, rather than the personalities of the authors or the processes of their creation. The name Luzinterruptus was not chosen by chance: the word has Latin roots and means "interrupted light": according to the team, this is exactly what soon happens to their glowing works after they appear on the streets.

A bearded anecdote about new car models - "Zaporozhets" and "Pezhorozhets" - suddenly surfaced in New Zealand. As a result, cars-chimeras were formed: "Nissbaru", "Toyazda" and "Volksubishi". In general, who followed whom, he merged with that. A creative project playing with car brands should remind drivers of the Rules of the Road
