Remember the huge yellow hare that Florentin Hoffmann made the people happy with? The monumental sculptures by Laurence Argent are works from the same series, and most importantly, of the same scale. How would you like a 17-meter rabbit that supposedly accidentally jumped into one of Denver's buildings? And what about the lumpy bear, next to which the cars seem like toys? How does it feel to create monumental sculpture?
American Lawrence Argent from Denver is a big fan of monumental sculpture. Who in childhood has not dreamed of a huge toy for half a room? Lawrence Argent made those dreams come true. It turned out a 12-meter blue bear, which is not averse to looking into someone else's window, and a 17-meter aluminum hare weighing 4.5 tons.
With the sculpture-record holder, there are rather big problems. So, for example, the red rabbit was not only difficult to model and integrate into a building. I had to redo the work when it turned out that not all materials meet fire safety requirements. Nevertheless, the bouncy result of three years of work is before us.

LEGO beasts instead of real beasts
Deforestation of tropical forests, pollution of the ocean, melting of glaciers - all this leads to the fact that such seemingly famous species of animals as polar bears, some species of penguins, snakes, monkeys are endangered. This is exactly what the artist Sean Kenney is trying to draw attention to with his exhibition "Living things: a zillion pieces of animal diversity."
Fairies, Men and Beasts by Derek Kinzett: Contemporary Wire Sculpture
From a distance, the snow-white sculptures of Briton Derek Kinzett resemble marble statues. And, although in fact they are made of wire, such structures look no less original than the Carrara stone. Works that will soon be covered with rust remind that art is eternal, even if the life of its works is short
Garbage is a big problem for the big ocean
Hundreds of millions of tons of garbage and other waste of human activity are dumped into the Micro Ocean every year. And soon the ocean because of this from the breadwinner of the planet can turn into a lifeless dirty goo. It is for the fight against this fate of the World Ocean that the series of photographic works "There is no such thing as" a little rubbish "in the sea
The Big Dig's big hole to listen to the other side of the planet
When Alice, chasing the rabbit, fell into the hole, she flew so long that she began to wonder if she would fly through the Earth in this way. As we know, it did not fly. But the German company Topotek1, engaged in landscape design, has created a large hole in the ground called The Big Dig, directly connected with various objects on the other side of the planet from its location
Big coin and big deception of sight
"Oh, what a small cart! Probably, it was made of the finest wire by some craftsmen in their free time from shoeing fleas" - if you thought so, then congratulations: you bought into the photo-drawing of funny Swedes from the Skrekkogle studio. Instead of making miniatures and shooting them next to small coins, they made a large coin and shoot ordinary objects next to it - and the result is the same
