On the first day of summer, that is, on the first of June, an auction will take place in St. Petersburg. This will be the twelfth auction titled Rare Books. Graphics. Vinyl , which is held by the Auction House of the Russian Federation. A large number of lots will be put up for sale at this auction, and the Ostrog Bible is among the most valuable of them. Its peculiarity is that it is the first Bible translated into Russian, published in 1581 by the first printer Ivan Fedorov. The news media learned about this from the press service of the Auction House of the Russian Federation.
A total of 341 items are planned to be sold during this auction. The minimum cost of a lot at these auctions is set at 1 thousand rubles, and the highest - at 1.2 million rubles. Among the numerous lots selected for trading in St. Petersburg, there are autographs, fiction, movie posters, lithographs, rare publications (children's literature, art, law, finance, history), collectible vinyl records, prints, descriptions of cities and entire countries.
The Ostrog Bible is one of the lots that should be especially interesting for buyers. Experts have estimated this lot at 500-550 thousand rubles. This is a rather rare book, since in total at that time no more than 1, 5 thousand copies were published. It is worth paying attention to the fact that such a book is a monument of national importance, and therefore it cannot leave the borders of the Russian Federation.
This time it was decided to put up an almanac with the name "Northern Flowers", which was published in 1825, for sale in St. Petersburg. This almanac was collected by Baron Delvig and is estimated at 150-170 thousand rubles. Its value lies in the fact that during the lifetime of the famous Russian poet, writer Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, his works such as "Proserpina", "The Demon", "Song of the Prophetic Oleg", as well as some excerpts from the poem "Eugene Onegin" were published here.
The title of the most expensive lot of the upcoming auction is the collection of Marina Tsvetaeva, called “After Russia. 1922-1925 . Its cost is 1, 2-1, 5 million rubles for the reason that this is the last lifetime edition of the famous poetess. This year, for the first time at such an auction, it was decided to sell a collection of vinyl records, which included 13 records of the legendary Queen group. This set is interesting because it was signed by all the musicians of the group. They estimated it at 400-450 thousand rubles.
