Of course, lamps were previously present in galleries where sculptures are exhibited, but only as a beautiful lighting. Italian company Sicis decided, however, that sculptures and lamps should always be together, and showed the world an installation of sculptures-lamps, which is called Lamp sculptures … The installation consists of three sculptures, which are actually lamps, depicting graceful glamorous women of fashion in wide-brimmed hats covered with a pattern of glittering glass mosaic. Thus, these glamorous young ladies look simply brilliant, and can serve both as an independent work of art and as a decorative element of the interior, if used as creative lighting fixtures.
However, the lamps are built exclusively into the brim of the hat. Their light is reflected from the pieces of the mosaic and thus amplified, and although it is not enough to serve as a full-fledged lamp, it is more than enough for an art installation.
