Usually small children like to paint on wallpaper, but over time, the realization comes that there are more suitable surfaces for art, and the wallpaper is left alone. With the German artist Heike Weber, it was the opposite: only as an adult, she realized that she simply could not find a better place for creativity than walls and floors.
To create Heike Weber's striking installations, not so much is needed: an empty room (the walls are pre-painted with acrylic paint, and the floor is covered with white linoleum) and colored markers. And, of course, a lot of patience, because in order to paint such surfaces, it takes a lot of time. For example, once in Austria, Heike created an installation with a total area of 600 square meters!
Most of Heike Weber's works are repetitive lines, patterns and motifs. Someone sees in her works the undulating sea, someone - mountainous landscapes. But all agree on one thing: despite their simplicity, the author's installations are simply stunning. The photographs may not be able to convey the full effect of Heike Weber's work, but just try to imagine that you are in such a painted room in real life: the abundance of wavy patterns is just crazy!
“I work like a seismograph and draw echoes of every room,” says Heike Weber of his work. And she compares the viewer to a high tower, which stands in the middle of an unfamiliar landscape and which offers a beautiful view of the area.
Heike Weber was born in Siegen (Germany) in 1962. Studied graphics and design at FH Aachen. Her solo exhibitions took place in Germany, Canada, Austria, USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands.

What Hidden Drawings Told About Covid-19 in Expensive Rooms of Luxury Hotels
People paint in different ways and on a wide variety of surfaces. But to believe that any image is an expression of creative thought is not worth it. For example, the journalists of the popular American television program Inside Edition decided to secretly apply “hidden” logo designs on a variety of items in expensive hotels in order to check how thoroughly the surfaces are washed and the sheets are washed in the conditions of the still unconquered Covid-19 pandemic. And that's what came of it
Girls and their rooms in an international project by Rania Matar
Of course, the daughter of an Arab sheikh is different from the young African refugee, and she, in turn, is different from the representative of the American middle class of school age. But there is still a lot in common between them. These are the similarities and differences between young girls around the world and is considered in his photo project "A Girl And Her Room" by the American photographer of Lebanese descent Rania Matar
Yosuke Goda's Painted Rooms
Having found their child diligently decorating the walls in the apartment with rock paintings and inscriptions, each parent will surely scold the little mischief and send him to a corner to think over his act. After taking away from him a pencil, a pen, a marker - well, what did he do his arts with? While the Japanese artist Yosuke Goda is put in a corner, handing a pencil, or rather, a special black marker for drawing, and they are specifically asked to paint all the walls, floor, etc
Silicone installations by Heike Weber

Painted graffiti on painted walls. Creativity Jessica Hess (Jessica Hess)
Whatever one may say, and no matter how talented, original, unusual the graffiti on the walls, pillars and fences are, they still continue to be considered vandalism, hooliganism, albeit with the prefix "art", and from time to time they chase street art masters for damage public property. But the most ardent adherents of this art form stubbornly continue to decorate city real estate with their arts, and the most cautious and unusually thinking paint graffiti on … painted walls. How is it
