Artist Anneli akinde, about whose work we will tell you today, is not at all a relative of African shamans, and did not spend her youth in the jungle, among the aborigines of local tribes, playing the tam-tam. The girl was born and raised in the Baltic States, studied graphics at the Estonian Academy of Arts, but her paintings are permeated not by their native culture, but for some reason exotic. Anneli Akinde creates her unusual paintings in the now fashionable mixed media format. There are graphics, paintings, and appliqués here, but there is no bright multicolor characteristic of African painting - everything is sustained in a strict, cold Estonian style.

In addition to mixed media paintings, the artist also creates designs for magazine and book covers, illustrates printed publications, and draws inspiration for creativity from the beauty of nature, for which she regularly goes to the open air in the forests, fields, mountains, on the banks of the river lakes.
