A person has a tendency to constantly change. Moreover, these changes concern both the body and psychology. And, having met a friend whom you have not seen for several years, it is no longer a fact that you have met the very person whom you knew before. A series of works is devoted to these changes. "Metamorphosis" by the French artist Jonathan Ducruix.
Human metamorphoses are one of the main motives in all forms of art. This is also noticeable on our website, on the pages of which we have already told you about candle sculptures by Urs Fischer, Federico Bebber's feminine metamorphoses, human metamorphoses in the works of Josh Sommers, and much, much other.
So the French artist Jonathan Dukroix decided to investigate the changes that occur to a person under the influence of many factors. After all, the human body and human mind are constantly changing, both during the life of one person, and in a global sense, over the centuries, millennia. People are getting taller, acquiring more and more sophisticated features. Philosophy and science do not stand still, which strongly influences human personalities, psychology, and all human life in general.
And these metamorphoses occur endlessly, from day to day, from month to month, from year to year, from century to century, from millennium to millennium, throughout the history of Mankind. These human metamorphoses are dedicated to the series of works of the same name by Jonathan Ducroix.
Of course, the changes taking place with a person are shown in the form of a metaphor that has roots in ancient literature - through the transformation of a person into animals and vice versa. But the main idea of the "Metamorphosis" series is quite clear - a person has no boundaries in his transformation, and it happens all the time!

Edible Metamorphosis by Sarah Illenberger
A pear is hanging, you can't eat it … It seems that some of the designers take these words literally. She constructs luxurious dresses from greenery, makes a watermelon rain, laces bananas and assures that a melon is nothing more than a soccer ball
