Glasgow-based artist Lola Dupré has always admired human faces, each with its own beauty, strength and energy. Therefore, it is not surprising that she chose the portrait genre of art as the theme of her work, although it is rather unconventional, but collaged.
The creation of portraits is a whole tradition in the history of art, it is a source of constant discovery and experimentation. In her works, Lola Dupre turns ordinary photography into a humorous new reality. Beautiful familiar and unfamiliar faces are transformed into kaleidoscopic unrecognizable portraits.
Many people may like Lola Dupre's collages, or vice versa, lovers of traditional portrait painting may not understand them. But the artist gets great pleasure from her work, which carries only positive emotions, because all her photo collages are kind, bearing only positive emotions.
