Melbourne-based artist Nate Holmes Trapnell chooses very unusual "canvases" for his work. So, he paints surfboards and skateboards, skis and soccer balls, and also bowling pins. The author is very hardworking, works a lot and with pleasure, but painted devices in his workshop do not stay long in his workshop - connoisseurs of unusual art instantly buy up the things they like.
The style of Nate Trapnell is characterized as a cross between comics and a tattoo, except that such pictures are applied not on the body, but decorate completely different surfaces. Nate himself calls himself an "eternal student", because he constantly learns, improving and honing his technique, and also comprehends and tries new things.
Nate Trapnell strives to create his own world of conceptual images and is a fan of modern mass art. In 2008 he took part in the opening of the famous Gorker Gallery in Melbourne, and at the end of 2009 he hosted his solo exhibition The King Pin there. Painted bowling pins, which you could see in the illustrations, became the main "heroes" of the exhibition.
