Photoshop or not photoshop? Painting or photography? Talented artists and photographers very often have to prove that their work, in fact, is not "disfigured" by the interference of outside "forces", and that what we see is only sleight of hand and the triumph of inspiration. Among such artists is our today's creator, the painter Diego Gravinese from Buenos Aires.
Diego was born and raised in Argentina, where he lives to this day, glorifying the town of La Plata, in which he was born, with his unique creativity. The Argentinean painter's "hobbyhorse" is large-scale photorealistic paintings, in which it is difficult to guess the painting, if you do not see intermediate options.
But for real fans, Diego Gravines makes an exception. In his portfolio, you can see several photorealistic canvases, both in "commercial" form, and in the intermediate form - in the form of sketches and unfinished paintings. This is the only way, the artist smiles, that it is possible to prove that I work without using computer programs and without resorting to any other help, despite the fact that in the comments to my paintings I always indicate only "canvas" and "oil".
Besides painting, Diego Gravinese is passionate about photography. However, both those and other works can be viewed on his page in Flickr.

"Digital art" and "living art"
Quote - “The purpose of a digital artwork is different from natural painting. Digital paintings are not created to be embodied in a frame on a wall or in a paper album. They are created in order to be replicated in a mass product - book cover, logo, website decoration, product box …"
Acrylic with milk. "Living Pictures" in the art project of the artist Alexa Meade
It is customary to say "blood and milk" about strong, stately, healthy people. But it is better to apply a different expression to the participants in the shocking art projects of Alexa Meade - acrylic with milk. The young artist has already become famous for transforming people into "living pictures", covering them with acrylic paint as if they had just come off the canvases hanging in the art studio. And in a new project called "MILK: what will you make of me?"
"Living Pictures" by Boo Ritson
Boo Ritson creates portraits of people in a rather unusual way. Instead of painting on canvas a person who is passively sitting on the sidelines, Ritson actively involves all of his models in the process of work. How? It's very simple: she draws directly on the clothes and bodies of these people, and then photographs the results
Pictures from pictures. Mosaic canvases by Charis Tsevis
Artists and illustrators tend to create their own images, and designers are commonly referred to as "picture makers" because they create their images from ready-made drawings, photographs or shapes. The Brazilian author Charis Tsevis is also such a "picture designer". From various photographs, illustrations or just geometric shapes, he creates unusual mosaic portraits
