Children are flowers of life. What could be better than these small, fragile lumps of happiness, looking with their kind eyes and stretching out their tiny hands to adults, giving sincere and kind smiles? You can't help but love children. Canadian artist and sculptor Camille Allen simply adores children, giving them all her free time, creating amazingly realistic miniature sculptures of baby dolls.
Children are beautiful, full of life, the sculptor cannot think of a more interesting topic for his figurines. She has been sculpting for about five years. She loves her profession and is grateful to Clara Allen, her husband's grandmother, who brought her to this wonderful world of art, showing her the skill of modeling dolls from polymer clay.
Camilla Allen lives and works in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. Her studio is filled with dolls, casts and various creative materials from which these tiny works of art are born. A studio with mountain and ocean views is a wonderful place to create. The Canadian artist uses different types of material - polymer clay and rubber to create baby dolls. Soft English mohair is used for the delicate hair of the children; for a more realistic look, the artist “browns” her offspring, highlighting tiny wrinkles and folds. The whole process of creating a pupa takes a lot of time, starting from the preparation of the impression and to the reconstruction of the smallest details, right down to the cilia, eyebrows and marigolds.
Camilla Allen feels that before her ideas run out, she will have time to fashion thousands of dolls. The images are in various shapes and sizes, prompting her to give birth to plump toddlers or fragile babies. The sculptor hopes that she will create more dolls in more varied poses, with different facial expressions, different skin colors and different nationalities.
The cost of Camilla Allen miniature sculptures ranges from $ 99 to $ 4000 US dollars. More details about the work of Camille Allen you can find on the website.
