Eighteen Portlandian artists, writers, designers, fashion designers and illustrators have set themselves the task of creating one common piece of art. To do this, they needed three words and over 23 kilometers of multi-colored threads. What happened can be seen in the Littman Gallery.
The installation, called "Over It", consists of three words - Banter, Affirmations and Insults. Each of them is “written” on one of the walls of the exhibition hall with the help of metal fasteners, and a thin colored thread is stretched from each point to the ceiling. The threads from all three words converge in one place, and in order to tie all 25 letters together, it took a total of over 23 kilometers of threads. Each word is made in a specific color scheme: Affirmations - yellow, Banter - blue, Insults - red.
Here are the names of the contributors who contributed to the installation: Chris Hutchinson, Damion Triplett, David Neevel, Jelly Helm studio, Jennie Hayes, Jimm Lasser, Julia Blackburn, Julia Oh, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Marco Kaye, Mike Giepert, Official MFG CO, Portland Foreign Legion, Scrappers, Taylor Twist. According to one of the project participants, the most difficult thing was to decide on the idea of an installation that would satisfy all co-authors. The brainstorming session lasted more than one day, and as a result, “Over It” was preferred.

Collective art in Antony Gormley's project "Clay and the Collective Body"
For the Finnish art event IHME2009, held in Helsinki, the famous British sculptor Antony Gormley did not create new works or demonstrate anything old. He acted much simpler and more original: he brought a huge piece of clay to the exhibition pavilion, and it was turned into works of art … by the audience themselves
