Russian film studios hope to develop co-production with European companies

At the moment, Russian studios practically do not interact with countries that are part of the European Union, and therefore this format is very poorly developed.

The largest Russian studios hope that they will be able to change this situation by reaching certain agreements with foreign companies on the international animation film market called MIFA. Representatives of Russian film studios told reporters about this in the framework of the show held in the city of Annecy, France.

Vadim Sotskov, who holds the position of general producer at the KinoAtis studio, spoke to the media representatives. He noted that Russian animation has changed significantly in recent years, improved and now can count on cooperation with European companies. Watching MIFA is an excellent option for trying to establish contacts with foreign companies, since this is exactly what this event is organized for.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that KinoAtis belongs to a small number of Russian film studios that managed to negotiate with foreign partners and make an interesting product. We are talking about an animated picture called "Hurvinek", which was created jointly with the Czech Republic and Belgium. Already, this producer is talking about a new agreement that has been reached with studios in Belgium and France. Together they will work on the creation of an animated film entitled "The Tsar's Musketeers".

One of the priorities of Soyuzmultfilm is also the creation of new products jointly with the countries of the European Union. This studio managed to reach certain agreements with Cyber Group companies, a well-known company from France. They will work on several projects. Co-production is attractive because it is much cheaper, easier to operate, and less time consuming. Russian studios are interested in cooperation with European countries for the reason that such products easily enter the European market and are accepted by the audience. For the first time, a studio named "Kolobanga" takes part in such a show.

Its employees are actively negotiating with foreign companies and say that their product, which is the full-length project Netski, has turned out to be attractive to foreign studios. Companies from Argentina, Great Britain, the United States of America, Italy and others are interested in cooperation with this studio.
