There is an opinion that to create a successful installation, only two things will do - light and water. Everything else doesn't seem so impressive. Although, as we remember, we talked about installations made of lollipops and Lego bricks, and what designers cannot come up with. Here water was taken for the main character. And the decision can definitely be called successful.
The entire installation includes a rather large canvas made of a special material that does not absorb water. But besides this, the fabric is also such that water rolls down it, as if from a lotus leaf. It is on this principle, long dubbed a phenomenon, that this installation was built. Drops of water were applied to the canvas, formed into different words. The main one, of course, was the name of the project and the word "Tokyo".
But the installation would not be so interesting if the canvas just lay on the surface. It turned just enough for water droplets to roll down from it. The spectacle cannot be called mesmerizing, looking at it in photographs or video, but it was certainly interesting live.
