For many of us, coffee is one of the most powerful ways to invigorate. Illustrator Miguel Cardona made every effort to make this wonderful drink even more pleasant: ordinary disposable cups he decorated with original drawings. Aliens, sea creatures, comic book heroes - all this can be seen in the collection of the artist from San Francisco.
An unusual hobby appeared in Miguel Cardona a year ago: one day he ran into a cafe located near work, and the barista handed him a glass of coffee, tied with a napkin. The resourceful artist immediately thought it looked like a scarf and drew a hipster's face next to it, next time the napkin became a mask for a ninja turtle.
Miguel Cardona says he remembers himself as a 15-year-old boy when it comes to decorating cups. Most of all he loves to draw robots and skulls. In some of the drawings, he depicts people fighting the monsters that live inside their bodies. The talented illustrator explains that through these drawings he tries to convey what worried him as a teenager.
Drawing on cups is difficult and simple at the same time: you need to do everything the first time, because it is impossible to erase or correct the image. Miguel is captivated by the fact that such creativity can be done at any convenient moment, since the cups take up little space, and no special devices are required to work with them.
Miguel Cardona sells original cups via the Internet; he donates all the proceeds to the account of the “Project Night Night” charity project aimed at helping children and homeless people. This money is used to buy blankets, toys and books for those who need help.

And in Great Britain, a young artist Paul Westcombe is engaged in similar creativity, however, his painted cups are made of cardboard
Drawings on disposable cups
If you come to visit Cheeming Boey and ask the owner for water, he will definitely bring you it in a painted disposable foam cup. Well, when you get drunk, you will definitely notice that such cups are everywhere in the Boi house, because the owner is an artist, only instead of a brush he uses an ordinary black marker, and instead of a canvas - yes, yes, the surface of these same cups

Without plates and cups: "Bank" - an original thematic cafe in Kiev
The tradition of taking a thermos with you to work, on a sortie or on the road is ineradicable in a Russian person. What a pleasure it is to get homemade food at lunchtime, because what could be tastier than a proper sandwich with a jar of borscht? However, with the emergence of a huge number of canteens, cafes and restaurants, the opportunity to feel "at home" is diminishing. True, recently an excellent thematic institution has opened in Kiev - the "Bank" fan-bar. The concept is simple: instead of plates, glasses and cups here
Drawings with coffee mood. Illustrations by Tomoko Shintani on paper and cups from Starbucks
For many creative people, coffee is not only a traditional drink to start the morning, but also the main ideological inspiration. No wonder so many creative works were created thanks to this fragrant muse: a picture of 240 kg of coffee, created by Arkady Kim in Gorky Park, a mosaic of a million coffee beans from Saimir Strati, drawings with footprints from a cup of coffee, and even creatively painted mugs for hot drinks and painted cardboard cups.
