On the eve of spring, during the Mardi Gras holiday (an analogue of our Maslenitsa), a series of parades, festivals and carnivals take place around the world! The most unusual and vibrant celebrations can be seen in New Orleans, Spain, Bolivia, Germany and, of course, Brazil! This year they traditionally danced here, changed their clothes, joked, had fun - the 2012 Carnival season was a success!
The most striking and memorable is the annual Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro! Its grand opening takes place 7 weeks before Easter. According to custom, at 7 pm the mayor hands over the key to Rio de Janeiro to the King of the Carnival. For four days, the city turns into a fantastic world, battling with endless energy, invention and entertainment. At the carnival, the best Brazilian samba schools compete, showing their choreographic skills.
Carnival in Venice is another real miracle! It opens with an ancient spectacle - Festa delle Marie, a celebration dedicated to the liberation of Venetian girls who were kidnapped by pirates from Istria. On this day, in Piazza San Marco, you can meet heroes familiar from childhood - Harlequin, Pierrot and Colombina. The carnival procession itself begins after tons of confetti are poured down on the public. Concerts, fireworks, masquerade balls are amazing, city residents and numerous tourists take part in them!

And, frankly, the game was worth the candle. For the result was unpredictably overwhelming and contagious
