Now it has become fashionable, including in art, not to throw it away, but to recycle and reuse. In some cases, this is very easy to do, while other items, at first glance, are easier to throw in the bin than to try to give them a second life. Is it possible to create something unusual from porcelain figurines? "Can!" - the designer assures Bodo Sperline (Bodo Sperlein) and in support of his words demonstrates the amazing beauty of the lamps.
Chandeliers created by the author from old porcelain figurines can hardly be called ordinary lamps - they are real works of art. And, no matter how paradoxical it may sound, their main function is rather to bring aesthetic pleasure and delight to the eye than to serve as a direct source of light. The customer for these works was the Spanish company Lladró, known all over the world for its porcelain products.
The most original lamp is called "Niagara" and consists of dozens of butterflies and wings from porcelain angels, suspended on thin optical fibers. In another version with the poetic name "Magic Forest" Bodo Sperline used porcelain leaves. And in each of the works one can feel incredible lightness, fragility and a piece of magic.
Bodo Sperline is a British designer. The author collaborates with various companies, including brands such as Lladró, Swarovski and DuPont Corian. The designer is also engaged in the creation of collections of tableware, lamps and accessories, the characteristic features of which are the splendor and sensuality of forms. In his work, the author tries to take traditional materials and objects and breathe a second life into them, presenting them from an unusual perspective.

It was especially difficult to make flashlights: scissors now and then tried to cut more paper than was needed, and then the flashlight ceased to be as beautiful as the one that the teacher showed. At least that's how it was with me … London-based designer Yu Jordy Fu, apparently, does not have such problems with the manufacture of flashlights

Magic painting and magic realism by Michael Parkes (Michael Parkes)
The work of Michael Parkes, an American artist belonging to the genus of hippies, is usually called an enchanting, magical and unusual world in which a special atmosphere reigns, and mythical animals and other creatures live outside of time and space. And this is not surprising, because Parkes is inspired by the oriental philosophy, which he imbued, traveling across India in search of answers and truths known to him alone
