The famous British artist, nicknamed Banksy, made itself felt again by appearing in such an "exotic" place as the Gaza Strip. Of course, this territory is not at all "exotic", but rather one of the most problematic in our world. However, this is exactly what Banksy himself called it, trying to draw public attention, including to the problem of Gaza. The region has a complex history and an absolutely uncertain future. The partially closed Arab state of Palestine is isolated, and Gaza itself is almost completely destroyed.
A British graffiti artist painted two drawings in Gaza. Both were placed on the remaining fragments of the walls of the buildings, now destroyed. The first drawing is a kitten who would like to play with a ball. As Banksy himself said, the kitten could not find a ball in Gaza, so he had to use a lump of metal reinforcement lying nearby for entertainment purposes. The street artist's second drawing is a carousel graffiti with children riding on them. The artist explained that today in Gaza, children can ride on the carousel, except in the picture.
The eccentric graffiti artist also recorded a video in which he spoke about the Gaza Strip and tried to draw public attention to this problem, as well as to the problems of other similar places in the world. According to him, today, when we do not interfere in the conflict between the strong and the weak, by our inaction we automatically take the side of the strong. The artist also recommended the sector as a new tourist destination to all people, adding that only here they (tourists) will be surrounded on three sides by a concrete wall with barbed wire, and on the fourth - by the sea with warships on the horizon.
In addition to all this, Banksy added that he chose a kitten for a reason, because it is “cats” that are all that the vast majority of users are interested in on the Internet.
