Danny Lane's "Staircase" is a modern steel and glass sculpture that suddenly breaks off in a clear sky, leaving the viewer bewildered: this staircase has a beginning, this staircase has no end. A monument to all initiatives that are not destined to end is located in Sweden, near Borgholm Castle. Contemporary sculpture shimmers and plays in the sun as if it were made of ice.

56-year-old sculptor Danny Lane has lived in London for about 30 years. In fact, he studied painting, but two dimensions were clearly not enough for the Englishman. The sculptor's favorite materials are glass, wood and steel. There is, however, another secret ingredient of any modern sculpture - light: depending on the lighting, the staircase gives the impression of either modern simplicity or baroque exaggeration.

In the 80s, Danny Lane suggested that mankind switch to glass furniture. Echoes of this avant-garde idea can be found in the current work of the sculptor. Its 6-meter staircase leads optimists to God, and pessimists to the cliff.
