Of the road paved with yellow bricks and leading to the Emerald City, we all, no doubt, have heard. What about the blue road? To see it, you need to go to Holland - a country where there seems to be no limit to the creative ideas of designers.
Blue Road is an installation in the Dutch city of Drachten by Henk Hofstra. Thousand meters of road is painted blue, as a result of which it looks like a kind of urban river. However, this is exactly the effect the author was trying to achieve, since his installation is a reminder of the river that once stood on the site of the current road.
However, Henk didn’t confine himself to painting the road and placed “sinking” cars along the way to make it more convincing.
Along the road, the inscription “Water is leven” (“Water is life”) is inscribed in eight-meter letters. Being a kind of natural monument, Henk Hofstra's installation is, on the other hand, a demonstration of the fact that anything can be a “canvas” for a real artist's work - even an ordinary city road.
The implementation of such an unusual undertaking took 4,000 liters of paint, and in monetary terms, the total cost was 75 thousand euros. And despite the rather high price, Henk's work is fully approved by the city authorities, which even financed half of the project. And the locals seem to be satisfied and regret only that there is no fish in the “city river”.

On March 9, the screening of Yuri Moroz's 16-episode series "Gloomy River", a new screen version of the novel of the same name by Vyacheslav Shishkov, started showing, and from the very first episodes the project caused a wide response. Comparisons with the Soviet film of 1968 are inevitable, and the opinions of critics and viewers were divided: some call the new version more complete and dynamic, while others are disappointed with the selection of actors. The project participants themselves did not stay away from the discussions: the performer of the role of Anfisa Yulia Peresild was afraid that
How the multicolored rainbow-like river appeared: Hidden natural treasure of Caño Cristales
Caño Cristales, flowing in distant Colombia, has rightfully earned the title of the most beautiful and fantastic river in the world. And it is also called “The River of the Gods”, “The Rainbow That Melted”, “The River of Five Colors”. Why? Because it literally shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow, as if someone had poured tons of different colors here and didn't mix them. Getting here is not easy, but worth it. No wonder Caño Cristales was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List

She was in great demand during the Soviet era. For 37 years of creative activity, she managed to appear in almost 100 films and served in the theater-studio of a film actor all her life. In the filmography of Valentina Vladimirova there are many brilliant roles, but most of all she was remembered for her work in the films "Gloomy River", "Shadows disappear at noon", "Lyubushka", "Chairman". And only one role, which initially Valentina Vladimirova did not even want to agree, made many viewers turn away from her and
