Usually at exhibitions we can see rather experimental ideas embodied by not too well-known designers, fashion designers, photographers and architects. Nevertheless, many ideas really deserve attention.
At the Greenhouse exhibition, which took place in Stockholm, many projects were presented. O some of these, our site has already mentioned. Let us pay a little more attention to this exhibition.
The design company Hommin presented two of its projects - a lampshade and a "rail" for hangers. Probably, we are not so interested in the lamp, nevertheless, we have mentioned lamps on the site more than once. Although it is hardly worth denying that the "Starlight" lamp came out successfully. Thanks to its material and its shape, it spreads soft light around the room and leaves interesting shadows.
However, I can't wait to tell about these very "rails", which you can't think of any other name. As the designers themselves say, clothes hang straight on ordinary hangers and … boring. Yes, it turns out that even this is important! And you can think of a much more interesting shape, as shown here. We can see the hanging necklaces that have been enlarged by someone. And the beads here are of a very decent size, with a neck diameter, I guess. Beads are hung under the ceiling, we hang hangers on them, and only on them - clothes. Everything is not as complicated as it seems when you read the description. Of course, for such hangers, the room must be large and spacious, and the ceiling high, otherwise the clothes will sweep the floor. But if all of the above is available, then you can think about beads quite seriously. Even if this is just a project for a design competition, it is not just that we are studying them. You can find something for your apartment.
Hommin was founded by Hung-Ming Chen and is based in Sweden.
