Janine Rewell, a designer and illustrator from Finland, has an unusual project. Conceived and implemented it, selecting another designer, sophomore James Titterton of Kingston University as her guinea pig. The essence of the project was to decorate the body of the volunteer with unusual tattoos, drawn … by the sun.

Of course, during the experiment, the role of the sun was played by a vertical solarium, thanks to which such a rich reddish-brown color was obtained on the body of the "victim", but all people interested in "natural tattoos" could see with their own eyes how to decorate (and whether) their body painless, harmless and economical.

The "victim" was pasted over with vinyl stickers, smeared with sun cream - and allowed to sunbathe for 5-10 minutes a day. The whole project took place in several stages - after all, you cannot expose the body to prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation. And as a result of the experiment, James Titterton appeared before the public as a living exhibit, partially tanned, decorated from head to toe with "sunny pictures".

And "how it all happened" can be seen in these videos.

By the way, designer Yu-Chiao Wang came up with a similar idea even earlier.
