In the places visited by Lea Turto, unusual flower beds with huge white flowers grow. The plants, however, are not real, and Lea herself, of course, is far from gardening. Her hobby is installations created from ordinary plastic dishes.

The main material from which the installations are created are plastic spoons, forks and knives. Thus, the author wants to ask us: if we want to dominate nature, then what will happen next? We will be able to grow plastic gardens that we control, but at the same time we will lose all the wildness of nature.

Lea Turto says that park visitors often approach her when they create installations, thinking that she is planting real flowers. When people understand that the plants are not really alive, they gladly take part in the artist's work, helping her to "plant" flowers.

52-year-old Lea Turto is originally from Finland. She created her first installation in 1998 in Jyväskylä. The work was named "The Garden of Angels" because it was located in the park adjacent to the church. Since then, plastic gardens "grow" in various parks and squares of the country, but they never repeat themselves.
