In life, sometimes everything is so confusing that even simple things turn out to be difficult to check, and long-known facts turn into an illusion. A vivid example of this is the ancient people who firmly believed that the earth stands on three elephants and looks like a pancake. Time passed, and scientists proved that our planet is round, and the mighty elephants are nothing more than a myth. This is the meaning that the photographer Ephlin Cheng, who is better known under the pseudonym "3 cm", tries to put into his series of works.
His photographs are so fantastic in appearance that the viewer involuntarily begins to believe in a parallel reality. Meanwhile, all the pictures were taken with an ordinary camera, and in the photographs there are simple female models (albeit in unexpected images). The whole point is in the transfer of material, in perspective, in staging. Ephlin Cheng carefully thinks out every shot. And not only from the technical point of view, but also from the philosophical aspect of the image. Each production has its own specific meaning, every detail on the frame is not accidental, and the entire collection is a reason for humanity to think about the fact that the world is not as simple as it seems. For the first time, the collection of the photographer shocks the public (like the pictures of Lukasz Simoens), but after looking closely, people begin to realize that Ephlin Cheng is right.
